4th of July Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes

I still remember the first time my mother made cupcakes in an ice cream cone. I loved them! And I thought my mother was a genius. Who thinks to put cake in an ice cream cone!

As any child does when they love something, I asked for my cupcakes to be in an ice cream cone until everyone was sick and tired of cupcakes cones and my mother stopped making them.

Time to revive a classic.

For the 4th of July, I used white cake, mixed in a bunch of miscellaneous red, white, and blue sprinkles. I  placed the ice cream cones into a cupcake tin and filled each cone almost to the top with batter. Bake at 350 degrees until toothpick comes out clean. Topped with a mound of buttercream in either red, white, or blue and even more sprinkles.

And yes, that is my hand.

  1. I love these! I’ve actually never made nor had them in an ice cream cone but how easy and fun that would be to eat… especially for kids. I’m going to try it for sure. (What pretty color in that frosting!) 🙂

I love comments! And I like porn, but not in my comments, so keep the spam to yourself. Please and thank you.
